Spermatophores are sperm-containing sacs secreted by male insects to aid in sperm transfer. They have been recorded from a number of insect orders. [In the case of] Macleay's Spectre Extatosoma tiaratum Macleay, the female is occasionally to be seen after mating with a conspicuous cream coloured [spermatophore].
