- Wings and elytra more or less evident in each sex; inner carina of under surface of posterior tibiae of male without strong spines Tropidoderini (Athertonia, Didymuria, Kimberleyana, Lysicles, Malandania, Podacanthus, Tropidoderus, Vasilissa)
- Female apterous or with rudimentary elytra, male apterous or alate; in latter case inner carina of under surface of posterior tibiae of male spinose Monandropterini (Heterophasma, Monandroptera, Raphiderus)

I.e. no Australian species.
