Genus Hyrtacus Stål, 1875

Several exceedingly slender species occur on tall tropical grasses. The female supra-anal plate is more or less elongate, but clearly separated from T10.

The genus is known from six described and six undescribed species mostly from tropical portions of the continent. They are found in rainforests as well as in the arid portions of the continent.
